Meet Our Supporters: Tariq Parvez

‘Take the leap and make a difference. Your efforts can truly change lives.’

Tariq Parvez has been an IKCA volunteer for over 20 years. He’s just completed the London Marathon in 4 hours and 55 minutes, running under the Imran Khan Cancer Appeal banner to raise funds for our needy patients. Tariq’s remarkable feat showcases his personal resilience and his unwavering commitment. Every pound raised contributes to the noble cause of saving lives and providing hope to those battling cancer.

Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, founded by the renowned philanthropist and former cricketer Imran Khan, provides state-of-the-art cancer care to thousands of patients each year, regardless of their ability to pay. The hospital relies heavily on charitable donations to continue its lifesaving work, making contributions from supporters like Tariq all the more crucial.

Throughout his life, Tariq has undertaken numerous challenges to raise awareness and funds for our patients and other worthy causes. His adventures include reaching the K2 Base Camp, crossing Gondogoro La Peak, and navigating through the challenging terrains of Gilgit Baltistan near the ‘killer mountain,’ Nanga Parbat in Pakistan. Tariq is also a regular participant in our National Three Peaks Challenge in the UK.

Tariq’s 20-year journey from the rugged peaks of Pakistan to the bustling streets of London is inspiring. His actions speak volumes about his commitment to making a difference in the lives of cancer patients. We are incredibly grateful for his ongoing support and the awareness he brings to our efforts.
