Nabil’s Delight at the London Marathon

Nabil Akhtar completed his London Marathon in 4 hrs 34 minutes on 21st April this year to help the poor cancer victims at Shaukat Khanum and managed to raise £7,263. He had following to say:

“I have always been running for charities especially the children’s charities. Being a father of 2 healthy young kids, when I see children suffering from cancer around the world, it really hurts me and compels me to help them in any way I can. I firmly believe that it is just a chance that those kids are in the situation they are in and it could easily have been my kids in their place. So I consider it my duty – rather than a favour to do something to make their lives better. Imran Khan Cancer Appeal provides an ideal opportunity for me to fulfil this duty. Being a regular donor, it has always been a dream for me to run and raise money for them. This year when I got a place in the London Marathon with no strings attached, my immediate reaction was to register myself to fundraise for IKCA. I have set myself a rather ambitious target of £10,000 but hope that with the help of generous donors I would be able to achieve that. Please visit my fundraising page: http://www.justgiving.com/Nabil-Akhtar13 and donate generously to save lives”

Supporters like Nabil are inspiration to others. Many congratulations Nabil on successfully finishing your challenge and raising such an amount for cancer victims.
