The Latest from Shaukat Khanum Peshawar
As of 29 December, SKMCH Peshawar will be admitting patients. Although the hospital isn’t fully equipped yet, we’ll be offering chemotherapy treatment from day one. In the past, patients in Peshawar had to travel to Lahore to receive chemotherapy. With most of them too poorly to undergo the long journey, or unable to afford the cost of travel, this was a challenge in itself.
Chief Medical Officer at SKMCH, Dr. Aasim Yusuf is in Peshawar. He’s introducing the hospital you helped build. Peshawar needed a cancer hospital. Please help us equip SKMCH Peshawar before December 29.

A Global Team Effort
PESHAWAR:
Imran Khan visits Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital in Peshawar to review the construction progress. He meets the workmen who are racing against time to have the hospital ready for December 29.
Imran Khan thanks the heroes of SKMCH Peshawar. Twenty years ago, we built a cancer hospital through a global effort. We saw how true generosity and heroism, was that of donors with little to give, but who didn’t hesitate to hand over the watches on their wrists. Today, we see it all over again.
LAHORE:
SKMCH Peshawar has recruited a new team of medical and admin staff. They’ve been hard at work this month, at SKMCH Lahore, training for their new roles.
In Pakistan, SKMCH runs the Shaukat Khanum Tigers Club, for students and young people who work hard to fundraise for SKMCH. The club organizes awareness-raising activities and allows students to volunteer at the hospital. This month, the Tigers club started their charity drive at schools in Lahore.
UK:
IKCA Fundraisers across the UK are organizing their own campaigns and embarking on challenges to help equip SKMCH Peshawar. READ MORE
