“I told friends and family they could laugh as much as they liked, just as long as they kept donating. I think it was a success.”
In November 2014, Osman Sadiq raised over £2000 for Imran Khan Cancer Appeal (IKCA), just by growing a Movember tache. Here’s how.
“I participated in raising money for IKCA and the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, in memory of my loving uncle and grandmother, who both lost their lives to cancer. The National Health Service in Pakistan does not provide cancer treatment. As a result of this, poor cancer victims die without proper diagnosis or treatment. I wanted to help people who are not fortunate enough to receive treatment which is available to us in the UK. I decided to take part in the ‘Movember’ challenge, and grow my moustache during the month of November. It was fun, and I tracked my progress through pictures which I put up on my Justgiving site. I told friends and family they could laugh as much as they liked at them, just as long as they kept donating. I think it was a success.”
